Thanks. I know that sounds obvious but there was no previous indication of battery trouble. Still I will charge it to check.
This morning I loaded up the kayaks and was all ready to drive to a day on the water when,
Engine wont turn over. MFD shows "ESP FAULT" .
Any advice welcome.
thanks,
Max.
Sounds like a cracker of a car at a good price. Please post pics and your first impressions when you get time.

Ian, Thanks for this. My missus has one coming on a lease but is a bit short on detail re the updates.
Does it come with sat-nav or is that even more $$$?
thanks,
Max
Congrats Tien on your Roomster. They are a truly unique versatile and totally practical car. I bought one of the run out models Northshore sold off and I still miss it. I reluctantly had to sell it...
.
That's what I was told too, by a Skoda salesman.
If true it's pure bastardry not to offer a potentially life saving device for the sake of separating different VAG brands.
Having put a lot...
They had the car all day. As well as sorting the mechatronics gearbox issue they also replaced a camshaft component which has a separate recall number. No clutch replacement.
I had no issue with...
Booked in for Tuesday next week, 29 Oct.
Rockdale Skoda want the car all day so hopefully that means they will replace the clutches as well as the mechatronics.
I bought a run out Roomster from Northshore and the whole sales experience was good.
But I then made the mistake of giving them my Octavia to service.
Advising of "Voluntary Recall" of my 2009 Octy tsi with 7 sp DSG due to electrolysis problem which can lead to blown mecatronics fuse which causes clutches to open and car to freewheel. Skoda are...
Strikingly functional: The special edition Å*KODA Roomster Noire - Å*KODA
I miss my Roomster. :(
Even now, two years after having to reluctantly part with it
The Roomster was possibly the most practical and versatile car I ever owned and was a nice drive too.

"Skoda, Volkswagen's Czech-based budget offshoot, has also announced a recall of 1746 Octavia and Superb cars equipped with the seven-speed transmission.
A spokesman for the brand said “We urge...
When discussing the Yeti, a Skoda salesman told me, (so make of it what you will), that the parent company, (VW Australia?) dictates what Skoda cars can and can't sell in Australia, and had refused...

Yes, with all the free porn online one can only assume that Zoo readers fall into the "I only buy it for the articles" category!!!
In late 2009 I so wanted a Scout but no auto for SO saw me was happy to settle for a FL Octavia Wagon - 118 tsi. with 7 speed DSG.
This car is a pleasure to drive. The engine is a gem and mated...
FWIW I know a Golf owner who just had their engine, 118tsi twinspark, replaced under warranty with only 40,000 odd klms on it.
Every dollar counts it seems. At least you got a proper wheel as opposed to one of those 80k wheelbarrow efforts, or God forbid, a can of whoosh. In some Skoda markets, e.g. the UK, a steel spare...
Great result for Skoda again.
Makes you glad you own a Skoda. Doubt you will ever see it in OZ. I was in the UK last month and whilst Skodas are common as dirt, there are a lot less Japanese brands...
This week I am in the UK so have had the chance to see Astras and Insignias in the metal and they sure look the part.
I think that once in OZ they will sell some cars at the expense of the likes...
A Yeti - 4 x 4 - as white as snow - crossing Sydney's Georges River on Tom Ugly's bridge around 8:30 this morning.
Must say, to me it looked bigger on the road than they do in the dealer's yard.

My Skoda is starting to cost me money.
After 37,000 klms and two and a half years I had to spend two dollars to replace a number plate lamp. :rolllaugh:
I KNOW THAT FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE A CAR IS JUST A WORK TOOL even if it is a $50k + Superb.
Seen one in Kogarah NSW. Silver with VIC plates. Looks like the driver lives in it! : - )
