I took my 2018 7.5 R in today to the dealer to investigate a Park Assist error and they replaced mine while it was there as part of the recall - no cost obviously.

Mine came with Conti Contact Sport 5Ps from the factory. Replaced them at 30,000km with no life left in them :)

I had my reservations about the Spielbergs on the 7.5, but I will say they are much easier to clean than the Talladegas on the Mark 6.

Ask VW Australia, I did. They will be able to confirm off your VIN.

Well mine was to have been built CW43 (calendar week) and delivered end of Jan, given 18.5 started build in CW45 I'd say some should appear at dealers mid Feb.

VW Australia confirmed I missed by 2 weeks with my original order so I feel your pain. I think TJA is a game changer for some situations and worth a few months delay so I cancelled and ordered...

Confirmed it's in as an option for the 18.5, I changed my order to one.

I've got them on my R and I have to agree with mythik, these tyres are great for wet and dry road use.

My dealer told me yesterday his bulletins say TJA is in for MY18. I certainly hope so!

I noticed that poor resolution too, it is significantly worse than the camera in my Mark 6 R.

I just drove a demo R with ALG, it won't keep you in the centre of the lane, it will bounce you from one side to the other slowly. Nice safety feature though for when the mind wanders.

My dealer informed me in an email a few days ago all MY18 Golfs in Australia will have TJA.

Nice! I like to do that run in my R during the snow season. If you get lucky you can catch a view of the Brumbies in the snow, Mrs Worm enjoys that and then everyone is a winner :)

They said Sept/Oct delivery. They'll be able to lock it down soon. Build hasn't happened yet. Can't wait for my fully loaded R :)

I've seen a grey Mark 6 GTI, it has a VWWatercooled transfer on the back window, with custom black rims and an APRII badge on the hatch the last few days beside me at the Canberra Centre carpark...
