Updated to include MQB platform and now working on supporting Amarok and other VAG boxes
Hi,
Its that time of year again or rather the first installment of our 2017 West coast Tuning visitations. The next one will be around July and then another late in the year.
If your after some...
Depends if the car is stock or not, the Mk7 (S38V) has the DSG so much more sorted than the Mk6 but if the car is tuned yes you will need it done if only to skirt around torque limits in the box....
That's awful news, he was a genuinely nice guy who obviously enjoyed his cars and knew them well.
Thoughts go out to his friends and family
😢
Can't say too much more as it gives secrets away, do it on a dyno and look at the torque values, not derived but raw or motive force and then you will have your answer
Aim for 4.5 degree timing pull if its an option for you
Yeah we can but if you had say an Ebay special, a Viezu or a first gen (twin pipe)APR down pipe the task becomes harder due to their poor design. This means extra cost to the owner for the same...
Hi I'm most likely back there again in December just depending on what needs sorting AND if I need a holiday at Scarborough once again. Tune prices are set by Ramp Auto Group Malaga but you can see...
The HP tunes were supplied by TSV in holland and having looked at their files I rate them highly, they are superior to the APR offering in quite a few ways and indeed our own are very similar. The 10...
You need a proper explanation but lack of time kills me atm
The knock retard you see is not an actual retard due to actual knock. Think of it being an acceptable amount leading up to the point...
RS is too slow anyway for now mr Fox. I've started playing with the S3 a bit again :)
It just depends on who did the work before, there's a few places that have done the McChip stuff (perhaps even the guys I deal with - Ramp ?) and I'm not that impressed with what is done in the ECU...
UPDATE
There are now three distinct stages of tune available and the first two are available right now. The Stage 3 files will not be available publicly till we are satisfied that things are...
I think you guys need to look around a bit more :)
There are really only two places in Aus that modify files for the VAG's locally and that would be Ben and myself. There's also a few more turbo...
Here you go, all totally stock hardware. This is on our dyno which is fairly cruel
Stock S3 Vs JB1 V's our stock hardware custom tune (12.1@112~114 ish tune that is)
The JB4 is miles ahead of...
Hi Guys,
Only saw this thread now.
Last Tuesday I returned from another tuning trip to WA sorting out a few more difficult cars at Ramp Auto Group (as mentioned above). They have our slave gear...
I know its a late reply but...........
Ramp Auto group in Malaga is who I deal with over there and I'm over that way next month sorting some more difficult stuff (supercharged R32s and similar).
This is something I have done for a great number of cars now and for a number of years. All the DSG files we do here and in Perth are edited by myself :).
The file you have is in my view set up...
There's a few different types of Antilag. The way we have it setup is a little different as it tries to keep timing pretty sane till you just approach the CC stick set launch RPM plus boost is...
Yep its in a measuring block. I can probably find out some more info. Have a look in one of their label files (or is it the other one can't remember
FWIW on the Mk7's I think the correct boost is...
In saying that and expecting the same myself its certainly being used very often on two cars in Sydney and nothing seems to have died as in nothing at all. The way it operates is not nearly the same...
you might want to check Vagcom again. It certainly does read the correct boost value :) but the rest you mention is spot on
The P3 when reading off the OBD port obviously looks at the wrong pid or...
You might also want to check that the boost values you are seeing are in fact correct. I notice with many of the dongles applications out there are looking at either the wrong PID or the (correct)...
Considering its only active during launch control you'd really have to go to a bit of an effort to have it working - not the kind of thing you'd be doing in an area where police might want to have a...
