Clearing the garage and look what I found. No good for me anymore as I don't have the car, and I have to make room.

not strictly the case - but yes it was on some 94/95 models. but rare as hens teeth
yeah but thats a mexican built 2 dr, not your german 4 dr. some parts are different as well
you'll have to get them from a pre-96 gl 4 dr. I did the same, but currently putting my arches back on .
they are slightly shorter in height than the vr6 door trims but still do the trick. any...
if its no. one, then jiggle the key in the keyhole. or pull out and reinsert. repeat until it goes!
just got mine done for $340 with parts, labour + g12 coolant
loon
nice solution!
i was a bit late but was going to suggest a product called "gator grip" or something like that [not sure whether it is still available. basically an arm with a socket with...
offset will affect brake clearance... eg i test fitted ET42 on my wheel for a celica fit vs ET35 (what I bought) and the ET42 didn't fit -
but yes, it is also dependent on the wheel design. but...
mebe - the front guards are not oem thus the tolerances are slightly out??
ray is correct - smaller hub @ 56.0 as opposed to our 57.1.
also you will need to check offset. on a golf ET 35 is what you are looking for. anything less and you'll rub your guards, anything...
looks like your trim has been painted - yes? maybe in replacing, it hasn't been pushed back in properly or missing the plastic locating pins.
those small pieces have plastic pins that should push...
the US ones are clip in , but they have a hole cut in the bottom of your vacant space so the cup holders can actually sit in there. i know cos i have one and i installed it about 10 years ago!
if...
that 'tool' be a 18mm (or near that)? spanner! just lazy. no special tool required. just take your wheel off and you can see the two bolts on the strut that if loosened, will give you the play for...
check that you get kph and the right scale as well. speedos change between engines.
my guess is that you have to pry off the plastic covers from the inside of the door, then this *should* expose some screws to undo. haven't taken the golf's off, but can't be too different to any...
guys
rapid parts are us/can correct? nth american cars have different bumpers. so check the openings will fit. however, my guess is most just take the euro stuff and shove to fit anyways.
offset is the problem
what was it ?> et 35 is best on your golf for 17x7. i tried et 40 but that didn't fit. smaller = face is closer to inside of wheel. but go too small and you have wheel arch...
the schrick 268's were the most road driveable cams by all reports 10 years ago. intake manifold is great - from memory opens up at 3500rpm (tim?). good for a few hp and torque.
to take...
correct - 95+ have immbolisers but no light. there is a chip in the key. auto on when you turn it off.
note that the small missing pieces are smaller height (maybe 5-10mm) than the pieces that are on your vr6. these individual pieces only came with the GL and CL.
you can't get the matching bigger...
is it that the diameter of the shafts are not the same? if it is smaller you could bore it out couldnt you?
correct rayray - all Aus delivered golf's have the top part filled with the airbag. the lower shelf was converted to a glove box (prob only big enough for a street map or a pair of gloves) in the...
in canada the mk gti was available in a vr6 - not sure if there was a 16v option?
