Hey guys,
Im 18 and looking for my first car, and im looking at the 2009 B6 R36 Passat in a sedan.
So i was just wondering about running costs and stuff, as it is kinda hard to get an estimate as the R variant requires different parts such as brake pads etc i have been told.
Without petrol, what do you guys roughly think you spend on your R36 sedan each year?
I really want the car, but as a student i dont have much disposable income so this will be a factor.
Thanks,

probably best to look for a car with full VW history, and then visit a VW specialist, get them to do a full health check from start to finish. it'll give you a rough idea on how the car was treated, and when the $$$ would be required for services, brake pads / discs and what not. also, every 60,000k service they recommend to do do a DSG and Haldex service. best to keep that on the books also. (when you find a vehicle and it checks out perfectly, do a DSG Tune, and the car will drive like a dream)
