Looking to rejoin the flock

Hi all,

I joined up here so that I could get research the purchase of a new used car. Looking at either a golf or polo for a novated lease.

My first car was a Mk1 GLS golf. My mum had picked it up as a demonstrator in the 70's. My brother inherited it for a couple of years and then I had it until writing it off in 1999. That car was brilliant and sold me on VW's.

My wife and I share a mildly modified GT Forester which will remain as mine (big plans). The golf/polo will become the wifes daily with the kids (3 & 5 yr olds).

I'm happy to say that I've managed to pick myself up an MY08 5dr DSG GTi. Reflex silver, 76k kms, $22k. I'm hoping to take delivery this Saturday.

I'll be collecting the car in 2 hours. despite getting only 5 hours sleep last night, I'm wide awake and feeling like a kid at Christmas. Why doesn't it just hurry up?!
