I have a similar problem, however unfortunately there's less sidewall and more rim = 3 x curbed wheels in 2,000km

The other day I watched as my wife "bump parked" the car. She drove in, nudged the car in front and then back off a bit
that's what the 'bumper' is for

it is a shame that the 147/155TSI does not come standard with front parking sensors..

Not something I did to my Tiguan today but recently got a GIAC tune. The tune has made the car a lot more fun to drive than it already was as stock.
Anyone done any exhaust mods or resonator deletes?

I did a rear muffler delete but it was pretty loud on a Stage 2 car.
I have heard the resonator delete is almost too quiet because the rear muffler is quite bulky and swallows all the noise.

Got a set of TSW Bathurst (Rotary Forged, 8.38Kg per wheel), 18x8.5 ET32

Still running 235/50/18 but I reckon 245/50/18 would be a better match...

I had a full exhaust on my old Tiguan. The rear section started off with just a sports muffler and it was too loud for general everyday use (my wife hated it). I had a resonator stuck in and it quietened it down to a good level where it could be driven quietly around but still had a bit of a bark on WOT.

Got a new battery today... The last 2 days the old one seemed like it was struggling a bit, in retrospect!

Original was manufactured early 2009 & has served me well, 106 000km's & over 5 1/2 years since purchasing new.

That's a pretty good run from the battery. I'm used to replacing my battery every two years on my previous Honda Accourd Euro.

I managed to get my new Wingbars mounted and get all my cycle carriers up there too, also hard wired my Satnav unit in so it charges with ignition on.
