and to follow up on clips post at the start of this thread......

if doign the remap, its the Torque increase that you will really notice in everyday driving. The 147, picks up a wider band of peak torque, but peak torque figure is the same, and with that wider band comes the extra 22kw. But the APR upgrade adds about 45% extra to the torque peak and the increase over standard is quite noticeable from 1500rpm upwards.

There is no difference in stated towing capacities between the manual and the DSG. 750kg unbraked, 2000kg braked.

Is that 550Nm Audi 7sp DSG a wet plate or dry plate DSG?

It features dual concentric wet multi-plate clutchs like the original 6sp DSG. The clutch design is upgraded and more complex though.

So we've got the 250Nm 7sp dry clutch DSG (not the 7sp used in the Tiguan), which weighs 70kg and uses 1.7L of oil. The original 350Nm 6sp wet clutch DSG which weighs 93kg and uses 6.5L of oil. The 550Nm 7sp wet clutch DSG which weighs 142kg and uses 11.8L of oil (interestingly, two separate oil systems, one for clutches and mechatronics, the other for the gears and diffs).Clarifi
