Help needed - Bluetooth audio issue with RNS510 install in MY12 Passat

    Hi
I've just had an RCD510 replaced with RNS510 in a B7 Passat and everything is working fine except for the audio when playing music from iPhone 4s via Bluetooth connection. The song title/artist displays and appears to be playing but there is no sound. Audio works fine when making/receiving phone calls and for radio and navigation - it is just the bluetooth media that has a problem. Playing music from the phone also works when connected via MDI with cable.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this?

Have you tried another (non-Apple) device to stream Bluetooth audio?

I have a feeling this is an Apple issue, but I could be wrong.

Thanks, Ill try that but the phone was working properly with the RCD510 - this only became a problem once the RNS510 was installed.

I had already purchased the rns & a reversing camera - installation for both around $400 (Marty & fhrx)

It might be a coding issue.

Might just need a tweak of some options within the RNS510's control module with VAS-PC/VCDS.

Just call Marty and ask him, I'm sure he will be happy to help you sort it out.

    Hi

I've managed to fix the issue by upgrading the firmware. Was on 2840 and upgraded to 3810 - now working perfectly.

Thanks to everyone for their help and suggestions.
