Auto headlights?

Anybody out there ever fitted auto headlights to a mk1 touareg , my switch is worn so I wanted to swap with those chrome ones with the light sensor but was told by the seller they won't work is that true??

I think the actual light sensor is up behind your rear view mirror???

Hopefully someone with a tuareg mk1 will chime in here to confirm.

If there are no sensors in there, im not sure it will work without it and some coding of your computer.

Mk 1 Touareg, you mean the pre facelift (2007) models.
If you don't have auto lights (or wipers) you will need the sensor plus coding to work. Location is up behind rear vision mirror.
