Have been occupied with the R32 of late. Now that is running and back together, can go back to tinkering with the mk3.

Wrinkle black painted the valve cover.

    Mounted the nitrous solenoids aswell.

Going to make a sheet metal cover for the battery area to hide the wiring and mount the battery onto that too.

Need some fuel hose and breather hoses for the catch can.

Had once again. Far to many other things on the go.

Slapped together a cable tie throttle cable just to be able to get the car moving on its own steam

Had to ditch the braided fuel hoses i had as they were to small of a diameter to fit the fittings on the new rail/regulator adapter.

Rebled the tensioner, filled it up with oil and kicked it over. Would just crank with a bit of a splutter, by this stage it was dark so putting a fork in it.

You going to weld a cable mount on the inlet manifold? That will neaten it up nicely!

    Mk3 R32 v2

    So!

Finally the car runs. Still needs some exhaust and intake work but it is 98% complete.

After 5 odd years of always pipe dreaming about cool SRI manifolds. One finally came up cheap enough for me to justify purchasing. Insert SCHIMMEL!

Now, it isn't ideally what i wanted in a SRI, really short runners, no runner compensation etc. But for the purpose of peak RPM power, they seem to do the job, plus it was complete in black, with the elbow, fuel rail and cable mount. No more dodgy cable tiesMk3 R32 v2

Rolled the guards and lowered it. 16x8 +12 sitting flush in front.

16x8 +5 swallowed up in the rear, thanks to a couple of washers behind the stub axles.

    I also forgot!

After bleeding the chain tensioner 40 times it would still lose pressure and slacken the chain. Eventually skipping a tooth.

So i bought a new oem one. After 1.5 months, I still hadn't received it. So jumped onto the manual tensioner. Hopefully 'set and forget' works!

Once again another bling piece from Schimmel.

So far this thing has been good to me!

Looking good. Look forward to seeing footage of it cruising down the road.
