    Vw mk2 abf

    Hi all

After using all ofiginal vw mk2 8v gti engine mounts and brackets on my new abf engine i ran in to a clearance issue. Rear driver side of the engine is sitting high and bonnet wont close. Sould i use g60 rear mount? Wpuld that fix the issue?

    Thx

The ABF is 16mm taller than the 1.8 GTI motor so you'll need to compensate by that much.

There's a few MK2's running around with ABF's so hopefully one of the guys will be able to point you in the right direction. If not, go here - Mk2

    Cheers

Just use mk3 subframe with rear engine mount and mk3 rear bracket. You will have to use mk2 control arms.
