Well both Sydney and Melbourne events are now fully sold out.

    Brisbane has 30+ spaces available

    Adelaide has 50+ spaces available

    Perth has 90+ spaces available

I know there were people complaining about the event not going to SA/WA in the past couple of years, however the numbers are almost justifying VW's decision not to run these events.

It would be great to see these locations fill up and (hopefully) continue to run in future years. So if you're trying to decide whether or not to do it, I'd encourage you to sign up otherwise there may not be a VW driving experience for you to experience!

If you're in Melb/Sydney and missed out, keep an eye on the Volkswagen Driving Experience website as in past years there have been a second round of tickets become available closer to the event.

There's still quite a few spaces available in the other cities:

    Brisbane 30+ places

    Adelaide 30+ places

    Perth 60+ places

One other option if you missed out in Melb/Syd events is to get a cheap flight to one of the other cities and attend that event. A couple of us have done this in the past and I know AdamD is going in Sydney this year after attending in Melbourne and Adelaide in previous years. It's a good excuse to see another city/track and have a bit of fun at the same time.

Definitely, I'd highly recommend it. There's no better (or cheaper) way to check out some of Australia's best racetracks from behind the wheel of someone else's brand-new car!

Well with less than 3 weeks away from the Perth event there's still 55 tickets available. Or in other ways to look at it the guys running the event have a $16,500 shortfall... I'm not sure what's happening over in WA on these days that's stopping people from taking a day off to drive cars around a track, but like I said previously if we want these events to be continued they have to be supported by the VW community.

There's also 21 places in Adelaide which has now overtaken Brisbane in terms of bookings where there is still 27 spots to fill. Or in financial terms that's over 100 places between all 3 cities unfilled and a $30,00 shortfall (or $20,000 if you include the discounts).

Well 2 weeks out and there's still 50 places available for the Perth event. Unless there's a huge rush for places coming up to the event, it looks like there will be a large number of empty seats

Adelaide is down to 11 places and Brisbane still has 23 spaces but I'm sure these will sell out by the time the event runs there in September.

1 Evo course and 3 Progression courses at Perth, seems a little unbalanced.

Well a week out and there's still 41 places available for the Perth event. It doesn't look good for a sell-out and also disappointing given that it's the first time the event has been held in Perth for a few years.

Adelaide still has 8 spots free and Brisbane has 22 places available - 20 of which are on Thursday morning. Do people in Qld have some aversion to Thursday mornings????

And yes the Evolution courses for each location went first - with only 1 Evo course in Perth and Adelaide as events haven't been run in either location for since 2012.

Yes it's definitely a worthwhile event. You get to do a lot of driver training/safety simulated collision avoidance exercises that should be mandatory for all learner drivers. Plus some laps of a race track in a brand new VW. This will be my 4th time and looking forward to it as much as the last 3 times
