This Toyota guy sounds like a f***wit, to be honest.
Today I was talking to one of the lads I work with about new cars. He told me he went into a Toyota dealer in Sydney's west at the weekend to drive the 86.
The dealer told him he wanted $1000 up front to test drive and would only return the deposit if he could give a good enough excuse not to buy the car!
Needles to say he told him to shove it and left. We tried another dealer over lunch today and were told the wait is 8 to 12 months for a chosen spec car.
Looks like the supply demand rule is turning some Toyo reps into a bunch of tossers. Suppose they have had to wait a while for anything worth crowing about!
Glad I ordered the Polo as the wait is

I know quite a few engineers who are like that - not really giving a fck what they wear, and when (joggers and a t-shirt, etc).
To be honest, I think they earn too much money (especially the ones in mining or consultancy) to really give a fck what others think about how "pretty" they are when they go in to deal with some random $70k/year salesman for a test drive.
It's funny - you even see them dressed in fading polo shirts and weathered jeans when they walk into Singaporean banks' "preferred customer" lounges to talk Cayman-style banking...
Certainly intelligent enough, and I really dont think some little pissant in a roger david suit who thinks he's justified in judging people... I dont think that a car "salesman" like that would even register on the engineer's radar...
No, it was coming from a site with $60k in cash and slapping the salesman in the face I was talking about![]()
Should ask MythBusters to test if it's actually possible to grasp $60k in such a way that allows you to slap someone with it.

I'd say it's true, engineers only know how to slap![]()
Haha a few of the engineers I know are like that. With just a sprinkle of autism.
Saw in a Motor Magazine or some other magazine they have got I think it is a supercharged and turbocharged version at the moment in the US putting out about 240kw. I didn't get enough time to read the article. Apparently TRD have also been doing one up around here but I haven't seen it around.
