    I wonder if they told him to do that because one of the inputs for the system is the steering angle sensor...? Seems reasonable enought in that context... otherwise... who knows!

    Yeah I'd imagine the radar is 'aimed' based on steering angle sensor input (not physically moved but interprets the data based on steering angle) however if you saw how badly out this was behaving the car would have had to have been undrivable for the alignment to have been that far out

    sometimes it can drive fine but if the steering wheel is offcentre (incorrectly adjusted toe) then the steering angle input would be off.
