You should be able to dial some of the negative camber out of the rear, but I don't think you'll get it back to factory specs. There's not much adjustment.

Replaced the Michelin PS3 tyres on my GTI today with Bridgestone Adrenalins RE003. The RE003s seem to be lacking a bit of feel but grip is improved (over worn PS3).. hopefully they will improve once worn in.

Can't complain about the price, $510 for 4 x 225/45R17s, plus $50 for a 4 wheel alignment. Ridiculously cheap IMO.

I ended up getting a cheap Bob Jane wheel alignment due to time constrains.

As suggested above the camber couldn't be adjusted that much. That was as much as they could adjust.

    Toe in was adjusted.

The car tracks true and hopefully regular wheel rotations will help uneven tyre wear.

I have a free alignment/balance in 3 months, so if you can thoughts on the current measurements it would be much appreciated.

They said the suspension looked fine, but I can't be 100% sure they know what to look for.

    Thanks very much everyone.

Rear-end was miles out, by the looks of it.

You should see a noticable improvement in tyre life straight away.

They've just set it up to the middle of the green. There's nothing that actually says they have run out of adjustment.

They've made a big improvement but I'd try for less -ve camber on the rear and less toe(1-2mm).

I'd also be aiming for the 1.0mm total up front

Ok thanks, I'm going back there in 3 months. Free so why not.

With the camber, I asked for nil camber, they said that's the closest they can get with both sides (L&R) being even.

They're not zero camber stock, so getting it back to spec isn't a problem in itself.

It's toe that chews tyres out.

It's within spec now, so might as well leave it.

It will have a negative impact on the way the car drives, in the turning department.

1-2mm. 0mm on the rear will make it tramline & wander.

90% of your problem is cured already

    Thanks again guys.

    Been very informative.

I'll pay more attention to rotations but I would have thought that the mechanic would have informed me at the recent service.

I've decided to do all the minor services myself going forward so will rotate them at least every 15k.

Hoping to get 60k out of the tyres which I think is reasonable for a daily driven car (the recently replaced front tyres did approx 60k and could have done another 15k).
