went to give the car its first mod, side indicators swapped to clear from a mk4 bora.
light fits perfect (better then the standard ones if you ask me) but the connection in the back is slightly different and i need orange globes. going to try and hunt down the a mk4 one and see if i can make it fit the polo relay

so mk4 bulb holder doesnt have a connection to the relay like the polo.
This is what the back of the polo ones look like

    If they had fitted...

    vs New:

Next up is getting the radio going or swapped for the one from the mirage.
also the A/C controls dont light up, and one globe in the 3rd brake light has gone out, so will be fixing those

Finally got the radio code for the stock headunit (thanks to the guys at Barloworld Volkswagen, Glen Waverley!!)
found a free daftpunk cd in it! woo.

going to get stuck into the sounds system soon. new headunit (from mirage), front door speakers dont seem to exist atm so will wire them up (again thanks to the mirage), new speakers in the dash, will buy a second parcel shelf and add the other 6" speakers to that (and again from the mirage)

The lines holding up the rear shelf are also shot, so will highjacking them from my VR wreck as they seemed to be a better design

also looking at some 15x7 wheels atm, just have to check offsets and tyre sizes of the poor 4x4 polo

Car had a minor service by Volkwerke (thanks guys!!)
also corrected the hand brake (no tension before) and gave the brakes some feel.

They found the wheel bolts were about 10mm too long for the wheels/car while fixing the brakes, so that was also corrected.

picked up a mk4 shifter and boot to suit the polo and a brake fluid pressure sensor just incase that is the fault of the cluster problems we were having. Thanks Dean!

Car got the thumbs up from the boys and with its full (well almost) service history its nice to know.

Polo also got some aero wipers which will fix the old ones.

On the hunt to see what can be done in regards to sway bars as the body roll is horrendous (even Kirst commented on it) but dont want the ride quality to go down the drain too much so decent drop lowering springs are really out of the question.
also on the hunt for some 15x7s or something similar and some new tyres to get the rolling diameter right (these are well over sized) hopefully clean the car up a little
