Keep us up to date with the outcome!

local mechanic was going to try and drain/pump/siphon all the unleaded and diesel in the tank and then refill i believe.

apparently its ready to go as they worked on it after hours to get us back on the road. will know more in the morning.

Fingers crossed for you! Even if the fuel pump primed, it draws fuel from the bottom of the tank, and so hopefully no unleaded left the tank and was drawn into the fuel lines. A simple extraction of all the fuel from the tank will hopefully do it.

Very good call of your wife to ask what to do, and to not start the motor. I know people who'd just not think twice...

Still looking into putting a set of off-road tyres onto a second set of wheels.

This is what I've got in mind.

To do it I've just won a set of 16x6.5 alloys on eBay for next to nil.

Wondering what the max size A/T tyre could legally fit on the Alltrack platform?

BF Goodrich for example do a 215/65-16

Standard Passat wheel and tyres are as follows
    215/55-16
    215/55-17
    235/45-18

Yeah could pretty much do that right now if only my 16" steel wheels from my T5 were able to fit.
