Side mirrors do not dip when selecting reverse.

Guys, anyone have a fix for my side view mirrors not dipping when I select reverse? I checked in the set up and the box is definitely checked for them to dip on reverse. Its a 2018 R-line with DAP if that makes any odds.
    162 TSI + R-Line + DAP +Pure white. Ordered March 11th 2017. I'm built email Sept 9th 2017. I'm shipped email Sept 30th 2017. VIN received from dealer Oct 5th 2017. Arrived Fremantle October 24th. Finally delivered to me - Wednesday 15th November.

Interested to hear as I have the same problem, if we twist the mirror knob it’ll dip, but not automatically.

The side mirror is only dipped if you have the knob turned to the L position.

    Cheers

Only passenger mirror dips on reverse and you have to have the passenger mirror selected on the door panel.

Don’t forget you have to program it first:

    1. Turn-on ignition but don't start the engine
    2. Select Reverse
    3. Select the passenger side on the mirror knob,
    4. Adjust the passenger mirror position to where you want it to see the kerb,
    5. Take the car out-of reverse and return to park (neutral)
    6. Turn-off the ignition and the passenger mirror should return to the normal position (if you have the memory control module).

That is not my experience.I have a 3 month old TIguan Adventure and all I do is ensure the mirror position is in L and it auto dips when put in reverse.

+1 to your wife for using side mirrors when reversing! So many people don’t do that and they struggle when reverse parking.

This, took me a while to figure it out.

We got DAP anyways, so we dont really use mirrors much anymore
