Here is the table of wheel/tyre sizes and diameters for each manufacturer specified option for the Tiguan:

    Tyre Spec Rim Size/Offset Diameter

    235/45 R20 8Jx20 +41 719.5mm
    255/40 R20 8½Jx20 +38 712mm

You can check whether a certain size is going work using an online tyre calculator such as Online Wheel and Tyre Fitment Calculator. Offset, Tyre Stretch and Speedo Error | Will They Fit

Has anyone seen the dealer prices to upgrade the wheels? 19" or 20" on a comfortline would be nice. In the old model Tiguan, the largest wheels needed plastic flares to fit them. I'm wondering if there is any guard changes to fit the R Line 20" wheels. Doesn't appear so.
EDIT: wow, I just checked the price of the 20" tyres - $400+ each!

I really hate what they've done with the packaging on the new Tiguan. Previously you could select rims etc. I wanted the Rline but with 17in rims so I could put All Terrains on them. You'd have to buy the rims as an accessory...they ain't cheap and then you've got 4 extra rims...

Didn't get the Rline for this reason, pity because I really wanted Adaptive Chassis Control.

Can't go wrong with BBS CH-R II, although for a Tig I'd settle for the cheaper (and cleaner looking) CH-Rs - two piece has a motorsport feel and seems more suited to the Golf.

Nice find though, I hadn't come across this one yet.

Hey guys, I know I might make some people cringe, but I am thinking about getting a highline TDI with the R-line package but I want to put some all terrain tires. Like coopers ect. Because I will be going along some gravel roads.

But I don't want the 20inch wheels and need some 17 inch wheels which would still look good and be able to take all terrains but not affect over tyre height..
    Any help would be appreciated
