    Wheels for R36

Hi guys, just wondering if Im changing my wheels on R36 (18in 41 offset) to R (19in 50 offset) wheels. Do I need to take the tyre pressure sensors out of my current wheels and install them on the new wheels?

    Wheels for R36

Hey mate, are the 19's wider then the factory wheels? If not with that offset the wheel will sit further inside the guard compared to the factory 18's.

Also the sensors will need to be swapped from the original wheels to the new to monitor pressure. However if they are not installed the TPMS system will turn off, there won't be any lights or warnings on the cluster.

Thanks for the prompt reply mate. Both wheels are 8in wide.

I will request for sensor swap over.

I thought the standard R36 wheels had a +44 offset?

I am doing same with my new golf going from 225/18 45 offset to 235/19 51 offset the extra tyre size will make up some of the room i will lose on outside but for me not a big deal 6mm will hard to pick out

6mm won't be too noticeable, get those TPMS sensors swapped and you'll be fine.

However to give you a idea I'm currently running 19x9 +35 on the r36 with 235/35/19's and no rubbing Wheels for R36
