What product to get rid of rust at paint inner wheel hubs?

Hey peeps,

after loosing another centre cap to a Brisbane pot hole, iv'e decided to paint the inside of my hubs black and not replace it.

The fronts are the problem with quite a bit of rust and the metal is very course as seen here.



Just wondering should I wire brush the hub first then treat with some kind of anti rust product then paint?

Any advice would be really appreciated

Wire brush and wet or dry. We used to get through lots of rust inhibitor in the UK. Jenolite.com Products

This kind of stuff is the go. Turns the rust black and you can paint over it then.
