Yeah you got to justify the cost as mine has a heap of enviromental hazards from dust to mud to bird poo and tree sap plus not undercover for 90% of life with red being a quick fading colour i splashed out on what i thought was going to help me long term but nothing wrong with the other good coatings ie opticoat and ceramic pro ect most important is getting your paint correction done really well before a coating as any imperfections will stay under coat forever

Good luck at least you will never have to wax it

Well I booked in for Opticoat plus from Dan's Garage in Surrey Hills.
Recommended by a mate at work who got his merc done, he is quite booked out, couldn't get a booking until December 17.
It will be paint correction and ceramic coat.
Really not sure why I'm doing it, I have had my last 2 GTIs for 4 years and never had it done, the paint still looks good and I can't notice any swirl marks.
Haven't decided how long I'm going to keep the R for (all depends on what the mk 8,) looks like, but new to this paint protection thing so not really sure what to expect. I just want the paint to look glossy all the time and for a layer of protection of scratches to paint.

Anyways I'll post photos and the end of the year once done but Dan's Garage has had rave reviews online.

If you want your car to look more glossy, l would get ceramic glass like Pomponazzi. My brother Inlaw got his car done there at Dan’s and he done a very good job, but in my opinion the opti-coat doesn’t look as gloss as others products, ceramic glass coating look better. Just my 2c Worth.

I agree with eyes opticoat will protect but for that always just freshly waxed look a glass coat is the best

The cost of the ceramic from Dan's is actually not that bad.c

My car comes back tomorrow from it’s ceramic pro job. Getting it all done. Will post some pics. And we can start comparing after a few months. Doubt there will be much in it. But good that we have all 3 being done.
