    Dashboard cleaning

Hi all, just after some suggestions on the best way to clean a B7 passat dashboard?
And are they a leather or vinyl?

I have Duragloss leather cleaner and also Autoglym rubber and vinyl cleaner but not sure if they would both be to harsh. Maybe just a microfiber cloth would be safest.

    Any input would be great.

    Cheers
    Mike

Just do ours with a damp cloth but then nothing ever gets put on it to make it dirty. Only gets dusty

I haven't used anything but water and a microfibre cloth since they appeared. Anything else tends to fog your windscreen over time when the sun evaporates residue off the dash. Not actually sure why anything else would be needed when its pretty much just dust there otherwise.

+1 For the Einszett Cockpit Premium

Definately don't use the autoglym rubber & vinyl. This is a silicone based product (as is the likes of armour all - anything that makes it shiny) and this will evaporate off your dash on to your windscreen - this is the biggest reason people have trouble keeping their windscreen clean.

Edit: I will only clean the dash with a cleaner every once in a while - as others have mentioned, it's mainly only ever dust, in which case a microfibre towel/vacuum will get the job done.
