VWWatercooled Annual Summer Cruise - Sun 20th January 2013

It's that time of the year when I start planning the Annual Summer Cruise! ... and this year we have an official logo!

We have made it a tradition to head down to Stanwell Park so there is plenty of space, shade and of course the beach.

As usual I am looking for some volunteers to help with leading the cruise as well as a couple who don't want to cruise and would like to come down to Stanwell Park early to help setup the marquees, BBQ and all that.

The official route for the day is going to be a simple one:

Down Campbelltown Road/Hume Highway and through to Appin, from Appin to Bulli Pass then down and onto Lawrence Hargrave Drive across the Sea Cliff Bridge and into Stanwell Park. The trip is ~67km and should take ~1:15 if you drove it alone or a little longer as a group.

I would suggest a quick stop in Appin to re-group (Park Opposite Appin Public is nice and easy to get at).

Yep, we don't discriminate, this event is open to anyone who wants to come along, but Club Vee Dub Sydney provide support on the day and have always been a part of the day

Gotta strong feeling there'll be a fairly strong mk3 group for this, this cruise always produces good shots (the drive down & the grass parking on Park parade) !!

Nah no one melts there. Everyone camps under the tree linings cause in the middle of thepark theres a soccer field or something ( carnt remember).
Beach + tree shade = tree shade beach breeze !
