So you running flat through the kink on the straight?? My car shows in the 170's on the speed, the fatantac tells me top speed of 165km/h. I roll out of the throttle a bit for the kink, than pin it again.

Would be awesome for others to get the fanatic so we can compare sectors and lines. Can see where cars are faster and slower through corners.

Keen for a group session at QR or Sprints at Lakeside. The next top gear appears to be August, Sunday 26th.

If we can get a handful of us, we should be right to go together for sprints. There's QR sprints on Sunday 8th July and Lakeside sprints Sunday 22nd July.

My foot was all the way down til 150-200m from the first turn. My new pads are awesome! No more smoke or firework coming out from it.
Regarding to the little awesome machine, give me that idea again after Tax time~~~~
And if you are going to any Sprint sessions, let me know. I will tag along but prefer QR for start so I can test the brakes~

I am generally flat from perhaps 1/3 through last corner onto straight all the way into braking zone of first corner. Around... 185/190kph. Then it's flat from there through to entry to Hungry corner where it's pretty heavy braking (but not too much speed lost). Key is to keep it flat and minimize drag/scrub over the top. Stockish Clio 182 is good for 1:05ish on street tyres.

The final corner is in my opinion the hardest. It takes big balls to get on the power early and let it drift out to the wall. A lot of time can be made up there.

Yeah that last corner takes to a few brave pills, though that kink is where my main hesitation is. I have little doubt about taking it flat, but if it lets go, it's likely to end very badly. Which is what I witnessed when I did my first sprints at Lakeside. Lancer Evo off on that kink, 180sx (street car) in the wall out of turn one, VX commodore (street car) into the tyres after hungry. Oh and a celica which spun coming under the bridge, and stuffed if I know how he didn't hit the wall cos he mowed the grass. One day, 4 big off circuit expeditions.

Anyway, going off track me thinks

Okay, i have some updates from Lakeside.

The next level up from happy laps is the street sprint series.
The cost is $145 each or if we have a group of 10-15 people it is $1450 and we get our own category.
An AASA licence is required for the event ($20 for the day licence, $55 for the year)

Safety requirements are a current standard compliant helmet (They have a few for rent for $5), long sleaves/pants and enclosed shoes.

The Series is open to all vehicles, they must be fitted with street legal tyres and exhaust. Eligible cars will be divided into four categories. 4 Cylinder , 6 Cylinder , 8 Cylinder , All Wheel Drive.Turbo charged and /or supercharged air induction vehicles will move up by one category. (Except AWD)

Race and Unregistered cars may enter the Street Sprints, but they will NOT be awarded points for the series

The Street Sprints will be held at Queensland Raceway (Sprint Circuit) and Lakeside Park.
Sprint Format. 3 x 4 Lap sessions + Passenger Laps if time available.
    Sessions will be timed.

Drivers Briefing at 12 noon, First group to be on track at 12.30pm.
Can i get people to let me know if they would be interested in this sort of thing as the next step up from Happy Laps?

would like to do sprints but definitely not at Lakeside.

For me, sprints are fine at QR but i'd stick to happy laps at LS because the barriers are too close.

    Okay, no worries.
It could be organised at QR as well but as Aaron takes the lead for QR that would be his perogative.
