Question Brake pads and Discs for 2010 CC TDI

    Hi guys,

my mechanic told me that I will need to replace my brake pads and discs soon. I have looked around, and there are so many different brands. What would you guys recommend?

I know Brembo makes good brakes, are these discs any good for my CC?

Genuine, ATE, Textar, Zimmering, and Brembo are all decent quality.

Thanks Umai Naa... In regards to pads, who makes good ones, low noise and dust? Is Brembo one of the good ones as well?

fitted the dba t2 series slotted discs and ATE ceramic pads to my 2011 CC 3.6 and can highly recommend both.the ATE pads have no noise and very little dust.i can go weeks without dust even being noticable.

    Warricks recomendation is very good.

You'll get the DBA rotors from GSL Rallysport / Brakes Direct (forum sponsor). The ATE pads are a bit harder to come by. The importer is HSY is in / near Alexandria but they appear to only sell to the trade, so you'll need to ring HSY then find out who you can buy from. You may as well get the ATE rotors at the same time. ATE Ceramic Brake Pads.

Personally, I'd just ring Brakes Direct & find out what pads they recomend. QF A1RM will meet your requirements but IIRC don't have a wer indicator. They carry half a dozen other brands so they'll have something.

That's not a hugely terrible price for RRP when you look at the cost of Project Mu or DS2500 or some of the other fancy, well marketed pads.
