It's not a bad price at all.

Interested to hear how they go with an OEM soft disc, as opposed to the much harder DBA and RDA discs.

Indeed. It comes as a shock when youare used to a discount then have to pay full freight.

The discounts probably aren't as big now but I used to get 80% off RRP when I was doing brakes. We were part of a chain & had a massive spend with Quinton Hazel at the time therefore got a huge discount. I used to have a lot of contacts in the brake trade but they've all gone now (several due to asbestos related lung diseases - work safe guys)

    Hi guys,

What do I gain and lose from slotted and drilled discs vs normal discs?

I understand they improve braking performance but do discs and pads wear faster?

I've been pondering whether to stick with plain face discs or move to slotted (wouldn't bother with drilled) and given how little stress I put on the braking system (150,000km and still factory pads / rotors) and that I don't experience glazing issues or wet weather pad delay, I think I'll be sticking with plain face in a premium rotor like DBA 4000 series.

If you get up it a bit more, slotted may be beneficial.

    Hi guys,

I placed an order for DBA T2 slotted front and rear today. I also went to HSY and bought ceramic brake pads front and rear.
I'm just a bit concerned about the rear pads, the box says the pads are for caddy TDI, and doesn't mention Passat CC (the box of the front pad does).
I asked the lady about it, and she told me that should be alright, she got whatever the VIN number says on the system.

EDIT: I have checked ATE LD2880 online, it looks like it should be fine for Passat CC.

Please kindly provide feedback on how does ATE go with DBA slotted disc. Thanks.
