Sure will do... @warrick has the same combination (ATE Ceramic & DBA T2 slotted) on his CC, and he is happy with that.

What type of money were the pads direct from HSY?

Any particular reason you didn't get the ATE rotors?

I paid $300 for front and rear pads. No reason for not going with ATE rotors... I read about the DBA T2 slotted and people seem to like them, and warrick recommended them as well...
any reason I should have went with ATE rotors? my rotors haven't been shipped yet, not too late to change

I think they give a minimum life warranty when used together. Maybe not worth it for 50,000km?

Story goes, the ATE Ceramics are intended for use on OEM-compound (re: soft) discs.

It's entirely up to you, but if it were me, I'd have gone with the ATE discs.

Hmmmm, so you recon T2 and ATE ceramics are a bad combination? If yes, is that in performance or wear?
I really like the look of slotted discs over the plain ones...

Ok, I ended up getting ATE coated discs, front and rear, cost me $600... Picked them up today from HSY.
I hope they will perform well and won't be too noisy...

So I had the new brake pads an discs for 5 days now.

I'm very happy with my choice. The brakes are silent, no noise whatsoever.

So far no dust on the rims either. By now, my rims would be covered in dust with the old OEM pads.

Performance wise, I can't see any difference compared to the OEM pads and discs, they are good enough...

My mechanic told me that I will be very happy with the ATE ceramics when he saw them, he also said the he installed them on an Audi S5 last week.

Total cost with installation and new brake fluid ~ $1300

Thanks all for your helpful input, much appreciated
