    Question Stage 1 tune brisbane

Hi all, Newbie here looking for some advice.

I have a 2009 Golf GTi (Manuel) -Stock.

I want to get some more power out of it (Tune) and if its in the budget make some more noise doing so (Exhaust).

Are there any recommendations for Brisbane business that are well priced for a stage 1 tune and some light exhaust work ?

Are there any flash tunes available for these cars ?

    Cheers

I would recommend Gavin Walsh who is on this site. He's done my Polo GTI, Golf R and dsg tunes on my son's and my Golf R's. Unfortunately he is busy at the moment packing to move to Melbourne. He will be back from time to time to do tunes though.
2001 Bora 4 Motion Sport now used by number two son
2011 Skoda Octavia Scout now with Underground Performance tune
2010 Jetta 125 tdi dsg for the misses - Impressed
2006 Polo GTI - Enhanced by some of Gav's magic - Absolutely loving it

All the tunes are flashed in. Plenty of options i can do you Custom-Code for $949. Google them and go through the site to find the power figures. Cheers, Gavin

Thanks for the insight, is there a standard flash tune available ?

I understand it may not give the performance of a Custom tune but trying to keep the $$ down.

    Cheers.

Superchips Bluefin is the cheapest tune you will find for the Mk5 GTI (around $600)
    2017 Ford Fiesta ST
    2015 Audi SQ5 bi-turbo V6 TDI family hauler

No customising unless you do stage 2. Stage 1 tunes are well developed across the industry, very little difference in power in the grand scheme of things.

Bluefin is a mail-order thing. Most folk buy from the UK i believe. No logging is done which if you have problems, can prove painful trying to fix with the UK. They are running blind.

Don't do it mate, I have 2 cars with 2.0T engines, one custom-code done by Gavin and one I bought with a pre-existing Bluefin tune. The bluefin feels hardly any different to stock whereas the custom-code was a massive increase, for an extra few hundred bucks its well worth it.
