Spotted some oil drops on the floor

    Hi guys,

I moved the car today to wash it outside, and I noticed some oil drops on the floor.
They are greenish in colour, and have an oily viscous texture.
I have attached some photos, what could this be?

    Many thanks.

That's not good then... I have booked the car for the 1 year service on Thursday... Is it safe to drive now?

I'm not going to say yes, but it should be ok to drive to the dealer.

perhaps let them know whats happened and ask them if its ok to drive

I would look under the car to see how much oil is on the splash guards etc, try to gauge how much has escaped.
If only small amounts on body then probably OK, if it is soaked and runs all over the place then get a tow.

Do you have roadside assistance ? NRMA etc Call them to have a look ?

I have wiped the oil after I spotted it... and for the last two days there is nothing.... I have just went to parking and double checked the car, I can't find any traces of oil anywhere on the car... strange...
I have NRMA roadside assist, but the dealership is 10 minutes away from my workplace...

I have dropped the car for the 1 year service today... The dealership has confirmed there is a gear oil leak... They said it is leaking from a place they won't be able to fix, so most likely, they will need to replace the whole gearbox, and there is none in the whole country at the moment...
I haven't been lucky with this car unfortunately...

That's interesting about being unable to make a repair.

I wonder where it's leaking from?

I want to check that as well... Will know more about that tomorrow... They are checking with Skoda engineers overseas... I asked them if it is safe to drive as I don't want it to stall on highway or something, they asked me to keep the loan car until they can verify all the details.

At least the dealer is looking after you and has taken your concerns seriously.
