    Skoda Superb 206TSI AWD Downpipe

    Hey guys,

Anyone had any experiences with downpipes on the Superb 206TSI?

I'm assuming the downpipes designed for the Golf R will suit but just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience.

Looking for a downpipe with high flow cat and also spacer or bracket to eliminate issues with O2 sensor/check engine light (this is sometimes called CEL eliminator).

I know the Neuspeed is 'guaranteed against CEL' but quite pricey.

Have my eye on this one from CTS.

I've Got a CTS one for my Oct RS (GTI), its a nice bit of kit.

Just beware you will get the CEL every now and new (with or without a spacer). So grab a OBDeleven to clear codes.

I have the CTS spacer and I still get the CEL every 1000-2000 km (depends on driving style/trips)

I've read the 42DD spacers are good, but I guess all you can do is read lots/Ask the MK7 R guys.

    Thanks for the info.

Where did you get your CTS downpipe from?

And did you install it yourself or get a shop to do it? If so, how much?

    Cheers,

    Brendan

    Hey Hey,

I got from Dub addiction (VIC) as they are the CTS importers (so should be a little cheaper than the others.
Think it was a Grand or so, shipping, Cat, DP and spacer.

2 of us did it at home.

+1 no point putting on a DP if you're not going to do a stage 2 tune.

You'll need the tune to get the benefits from the higher exhaust flow/less restriction at top end.

    ^^ this

you'll get a CEL when you use a JB4 because its not a real tune - skoda modderz seem to fawn all over JB4 though.

I have a JB1 on my car and results from the Golf R modders seem to indicate there is still a substantial improvement from adding a DP to a JB1/JB4 even though it isn't considered a 'real tune'.

Trying to keep the car as stock as possible. I remove the JB1 whenever it goes in for a service. Even though the DP would be there I still think it would have less chance of voiding the warranty than them detecting an after-market tune which they could link to any engine issue whereas DP is really just exhaust.

Thanks for the info so far.

    Bang for Buck its great.
Yea I've got a JB4 and the DP, and the bloody CEL comes on once a month. But if your happy to clear it via OBDeleven/VCDS its fine
