I tried it last night, but I'm not sure if maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree. I was able to set the following in the Arteon:
    Verdecksteuergeraet-Kick_and_close = Installed
    Byte9_VIP-Coding_kick and_close_function = Active

    But it didn't change anything.

The reason I'm not sure if this is the right setting is because there's no German -> English translation word (that I can find on Google) for "Verdecksteuergeraet". And when I search for that word on Google, it shows me a hardware module for convertible cars. So I *think* this might be related to "kick to close" for soft tops/convertibles.

But our Superb isn't convertible, a soft top, or has a sunroof.

Interesting, the 6D-Trunk Electrics adaptions between the Arteon and the Superb are pretty much identical. The only difference is how far things open, minimum height etc.

    Maybe a Audi thing ?

maybe there is some sort of hardware or module that needs to be "installed" or present for the coding to actually work.

though it doesn't make sense for different hardware between kick-to-close and kick-to-open!!

could there be differences between the Wagon and the Liftback? cause technically urs would b aligned to Superb Liftback as opposed to a Superb Wagon in terms of parameters of the power tailgate.

maybe there are differences beween SW and HW components?

Ok this is interesting... your component (HDSG-Modul H13 0261) is the same as the Superb Wagon & Arteon. Here is my wife's VCDS scan.

This is my scan from the Arteon - it looks almost the same.

    Address 6D: Trunk Elect. (J605) Labels:| 5Q0-959-107.clb
    Part No SW: 5Q0 959 107 M HW: 5Q0 959 107 C

I've gone through the 05-Acc/Start Auth, 09-Cent. Elect and 6D-Trunk Elect. adaptations line by line between the Superb and the Arteon with the only real differences (that may be related to the tailgate closing) being those settings I mentioned. The module and the kick_to_close function.

I may need to ask on the Ross Tech forums.

so the HW and SW revisions are different between the Superb and Arteon:-
    Superb - Part No SW: 5Q0 959 107 L HW: 5Q0 959 107 J
    Arteon - Part No SW: 5Q0 959 107 M HW: 5Q0 959 107 C

i also notice the coding on ur wife's Superb is 0D88, while mine is 1008 - despite having the same HW and SW revisions.

Sorry, anyone try this with OBD11? please share. Thanks.
I can see the link from VCDS but I am not sure if the same or not.

note: currently by default my Superb III able to use the key fob to close and open. Close using key fob inside the car from driver seat a bit of a challenge. Need to point at the back.

    Thanks

with the Superb, it depends on what controller the car has, and even still it's a hit or miss.
and if its a hit, ur more likely to see errors being logged.

u also need a VCP tool. VCDS or OBD11 won't do it.

u can code it for the Octavia, via VCDS/OBD11.

the Kodiaq does it from factory.
