    Best place for new wipers?

My windscreen wipers are on the way out. Where's the best/cheapest place to get new ones and what brand(s) should I be looking for?

Supercheap has the Bosch OEM replacements starting from about $25 per blade...This beats what VW Dealers are offering price wise by a hell of alot.

Thanks! Sounds like a trip to Supercheap for the OEM Bosch ones is in order then!

Mine are on the way out on my Polo, and I was looking there the other day...I really think they are too expensive for what they are, so I am just gong to change out the rubbers only by doing this...

Seconded. Just do this. New blades for the right price easily. Tell me why you wouldn't do this?

Depending on where you live and how much exposure to the elements you get you should change your wiper blades every 12 months apparently.

Not with the usage mine have gotten, they have had some pretty hard yards and aren't taking a clean wipe of the screen (cleaned them, done everything I can think of), so a change is the next thing before I talk to the dealer.

You might have some nasty gunge on the glass rather than the blades being cactus. I use Amway metal polish to get my glass really squeaky clean (yes, I'm serious, it works well - put it on to awet screen and rinse it off really well).

If there has been some rain-x on the glass it can go nasty when it starts to wear off too (easiest fix is to re-apply some more). I use Aquapel these days - it lasts much longer.
