    Cruise control on the MFD

I asked my local VW dealing this question but they haven't gotten back to me with an answer yet, so I thought I'd test this knowledge base.

Does anyone know if it is possible to programme the MFD so that the set cruise speed appears on MFD when it is activated? I know my dad's 2010 125TSI Tiguan does this and it replaces the odometer with the cruise speed.

Both display's look identical and are the white ones not the red ones.

My 2010 Jetta shows the speed set as soon as the Cruise control is activated and it does replace the odometer. It has done this from day one so it must have been actuated by the dealer.I will have a look at my MFD settings and get back to you.

Just looked at MFD and cannot find any mention of CCS so it must have to be set via VCDS

Thanks for your help. Where on the display does it come up? I've had a look in the menu myself and can't find anything. That's about the most the dealer did to help fix it too.

It comes up on the bottom line of the MFD.
On our 2010 Tiguan the bottom line (white MFD) is the cruise setting on the left hand side... it changes the size of the font for the numbers when you are either using the cruise or have it off.
So when stationary it will display the cars total k's travelled.
When moving and you haven't set a speed yet it will show "----"
When you set a speed it will show (for example) "100" in large font.
When you disengage the cruise control it will still show "100" (your last set speed used) but in smaller font. This is so that you will know what speed it will try to achieve when you hit resume.

Not sure if it has to be set by the dealer etc as ours did it from the day we picked it up.

Yeah mine has never done anything like that at all. Seems like a strange thing to do if they have gotten rid of it on the MFD. The only way you know cruise control is on is the green dash light that comes on when it's active. Anyone else on here with a 2010 Jetta who can give me some feedback?

they didn't get rid of it. It's an upgrade feature for the MFD, that was not available on the MKV MFDs...but appears to be on the MKVI (2010) MFDs

The 2010 Jetta is exactly as Blutopless2 describes his Tiguan and like his, mine was on from day one. In another post someone advised that the 2010 Jetta had an electronic update to same as MKVI Golf so perhaps this is one of the changes. What colour is your display, white is the updated version.

It is the white display. Mine has never done it from day one. I think I'm going to have to go back to the dealer and make some more enquiries. I wasn't sure if the 147TSI was different to the 118tsi twincharger with that being a newer model and such.
