    R32 MK4 MagnaDRONE Exhaust

    Hey guys,

I've got a magnaflow exhaust cat back on the R32, just recently the drone noise is annoying me more than ever with daily driving. I've heard the Milltek system resonated doesn't drone (but I'm up $1500 or so). Would there be a way to quieten the magnaflow if I take it to a exhaust shop?

These are the options I might have:

1: Add a resonator to the Magnaflow
    2: Get an OEM system
3: Fork our the cash for a Milltek

    Cheers

Good advice, that's the general consensus, that a resonator should help quieten an exhaust. However please see my reply below.

I wouldn't waste your time and more importantly money.

Daily driven, I would presume would mean greater than 40 km's a day. Go with the OEM and do the flapper mod. The resonator will quieten down the magna flow but not enough for a daily driven R.

I've had my R since new and have resisted the urge to modify the original exhaust other than the flapper mod.

    Just my 2 cents

    Cosmic,

Thanks for your reply, more to think about!
With rare cars like these I like to keep everything OEM, it's a shame the previous owner sold it.

The car still sounds great with flapper mod, just nicer to drive and less pedestrians ducking for cover hahaha

I'll post up in WTB thread for an OEM,

    Thanks

OEM with Flapper mod is perfect.

I also was considering an exhaust, after hearing the magnaflow and milltecks, they were too loud esp as my R is a DD doing about 50kms a day.

Pity you dont have the OEM one with yours. There quite $$$ from VW.

So us some pics of your R....and work or mods done to it?

    Cheers,
