    Rotor Sizes

I have not posted for a while, I am going to replace my own pads and rotors, I have se3n a few tutorials and it looks like something I can manage. I can buy a 3ton jack rotors pads grease ect and still save 1k if I was to pay someone to do this.

I am looking at the spares box website there are numerous rotor sizes for my model and pads, I was looking at maybe the Bosch Rotors and Brembo pads, My model is the 2011 Transporter duel cab 4motion Biturbo.
I dont want to take my front and back wheels off to measure the rotor sizes, does anyone know by any chance what my front and rear rotor sizes are?

Are there any negatives or positives getting a more espansive or cheaper brand rotor and or pads?

Normally you can put your vehicle details into their site and they tell you which ones fit.
You'll need a 10mm 'Spline' bit.............but you are better off buying a set that includes the 10 as the spline is very popular with VW.

I'm really happy with the LPR pads from this seller.

As for discs.......mine's only a single turbo van so I think they'll be different but I tried more expensive drilled and slotted discs and they warped...........that was with metal pads.............so I went back to the cheapest solid discs with LPR pads and no problems and the braking is excellent. (I think I have DBA on the front and some English brand on the back)

I'm guessing that you have 333mm discs...........mine are 308mm or something similar.
These would probably be the pads FRONT BRAKE PADS VOLKSWAGEN VW MULTIVAN TRANSPORTER T5 333mm DISC 7H0698151A | eBay

But you can contact them with your vehicle details.
He answers pretty quick during business hours.
I re-ordered the wrong pads last month and he set me straight by looking up my previous orders.

Up here in Qld I use GSL Rally Sport for disc rotors and pads , very good pricing and they will deliver . All you need to do is give them your VIN number and they will match up all the options they have , they are sponsors of this Forum .

I would go for ate ceramic pads and new rotors either ate or dba ect

The ceramic pads are x2 expensive vs oem ect but will last 4 times as long and give good pedal feel and nice progressive braking a big plus is also no more black brake dust all over your rims

I put them on all 4 corners of my car and they work great

Huge money for a Transporter though.

BiTurbo has the big brakes on it. As far as I know, all T5s, T5GPs and T6s have the same rear brakes.

    Thanks for all the responses
Looks like 333mm at the front then and I will look into the ceramic pads.

Turns out the rotors are 340mm at the front.
I need to get a jack do I need a 3 tonne or would 2.5 be sufficient?

My 1.5T has been so far sufficient.

You're only picking up one end.
