    Pulsating clutch pedal

Hi, my old T4 (98 2.5L petrol) developed a new problem (?) today, sitting at a set of lights foot on clutch and in gear ready to go when I noticed a pulsing sensation in the pedal - almost like it was trying to move forward with each pulse. Any ideas?

Could be a warped pressure plate, or heat spots on the flywheel.

Yeah........that could be quite a few things.
Try pumping it before moving it into gear........to rule out hydraulic..............getting any noise?
My thrust bearing failed before any part of the clutch after nearly 300k............but that was a 2003 model.

Thanks for the quick replies guys. I'll try pumping it today as that seems an easy first attack. Is the clutch fluid shared with the brake fluid reservoir? I remember looking for it once and couldn't find a separate reservoir. As far as noises go I couldn't say that I heard anything that seemed related, BUT my ears aint what they used to be. I remembered after I posted yesterday that a couple of weeks ago it was almost impossible to get into first after sitting for a week or so without being used, but once driven it came good. It's only done 190k....

By any chance you were leaning a bit on the gear stick? Is there pulsation when your hand is not touching the gear stick?

Hi, pulsation was felt through the pedal (whilst stopped at lights), I wasn't touching the gear stick until after I moved off and changed gear and the pulsation wasn't felt then. It was only felt when stopped and each time it seemed a bit less.
