Well another bit of progress today ply side walls and subwoofer enclosure done and ply floor done , next phase is to apply the carpet to the sides and then retrim roof lining and PVC matting on the floor . Cruise control arrived from VW Teeside in England today so I should be attacking that one on the weekend .Insulating T5 "Another wet weekend and someone is getting a makeover"-vw-van-2-jpgInsulating T5 "Another wet weekend and someone is getting a makeover"-internal-vw-van-jpgInsulating T5 "Another wet weekend and someone is getting a makeover"-vw10-jpg

Its coming along great all the side carpeting and roof retrim were finished today , Stereo is spot on did some fine tuning on that as well . Tomorrow the PVC flooring will be done and then Monday I will fit the cruise control and get the van over to Jmac for the coding as soon as that's in . I will update with pics tomorrow as I have to spend some time to transfer my work gear over to the spare van as my battered beast goes in for assessment Monday morning , so I wont get much time on it Sunday .

Well fathers day done and dusted so the van is almost complete just the cruise control to fit tomorrow and then coding and it can then go home .
The water tank and flooring with tie downs mounted to sides .

Rear bumper is painted so there is a protection flap to stop scratching .

Roof trim covered with velour and extra speakers fitted to roof .

Storage cover at side for jack and some tools .

Subwoofer enclosure and drinks holder just above .

Thanks Transporter after the last van I did for a mate of mine I told my wife I would not do another , but Hayden was a fellow MX rider so in a moment of weakness I agreed again . But the main difference was that my mates one was done with extreme pressure I only had two days from start to finish and by the time it was finished I was knackered knees were sore my back ached and I was so over it ! . But this one was all good as I had the van for 3 weeks so no pressure and it gave me several days during the week to be at home working on the van rather than on the road all the time with my normal work . Now off to do the cruise control .
