Got any photos of them installed? I'm interested to see how they look.

I've always known there were aero options that fit the "stock" mounting, but the ones I've seen stick out a lot more and I've just always thought the aero arms just sat nicer.

Not that anyone asked for them...
But here's a series of exciting shots of how my new aero wipers look.
    Thanks again for the information.

Yes the BOSCH aftermarket ones are pretty good.

However the official VW aero wiper arms have a different shape and geometry and spring tension etc to support the official VW aero blade. IMHO the original non-aero VW arms looked like something off a 1980's mazda.

The photos in this thread should give you an idea of the difference

Well just had my first serious rain since retro fitting the aero's and must say I am very impressed. They look sexy too

Although in hindsight my shuddering problem may have been only due to my using oem blades.
Should have first tried the genuine vw blades in the standard.
Then should have tried the Bosch ones mentioned earlier.
Anyway, I'm very happy with the aero's...but it was a lot of money...that I maybe didn't have to spend.

Consider it an investment! If you are in Melbourne like your profile says.... it rains there all the time doesn't it? No price for safety

To be fair, most of that is afternoon downpours and storms.

QLD, Sunny one day and bloody hot and humid for the next 7 months.

Yes Melbourne winter in the morning summer by lunch time , but at least it probably rains all through the year unlike Qld where it rains in huge amount's only a few times through the year . I do like those wipers but as we don't get too much continuous drizzle I,ll stick with stock .

The non-aero ones are ok, providing you stick with genuine inserts.

Just don't throw the curved metal sticks away. You can't buy them seperately. You need to buy the whole blade assembly. Have had to do it on both mine, just so I could go back to using genuine inserts. Previous workshops and owners had butchered the blades to use non-geniune garbage inserts.

Thanks for the advice...and noooo...I would never thrown any vw parts away...it'd be like flushing gold nuggets down the dunny
Have got a special shelf setup just for them.
