How do you remove the cigarette lighter socket?

    Hi everyone,

I want to fit a second 12V outlet in the console in parallel with the cig lighter.

Can anyone tell me how the lighter socket is held in? I'm not keen to use force on a car that's less than a week old.

    Cheers,

    Tony

I'm not sure. It does confirm they don't have a screw on the back. I'll have a poke around.

    Thanks,

    Hi Hawk,

Unfortunately I still cant see how to extract the lighter socket.

Is it easy to lift the lower console?

    Cheers,

    Tony
