Got the motor turning over, started it up and done the timing.
No fuel, water or oil leaks

Looking good Tommie, you really are burning the midnight oil!
The marine clean has the same active ingredient as the oven and grill cleaner, so it destroys anything oil based.
POR-15 is an awesome product, you wont regret using it, I once did the inside of a 5000l tank on a water truck with it, it saved them replacing the whole tank! Though it was much harder to roll around than a fuel tank

At the rate you're going, you'll be ready for another project soon!.........Or a holiday!!!

The cleaner is Sodium Hydroxide ( caustic soda) same isht used in the hot tank for engine blocks and other STEEL / IRON parts. Dont use it on alloy stuff ( disolves alloys )

    Build is looking good !
    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

    Cheers,

Man, you go 0-100 real quick.

This build has been quicker than most folks on here for years with their mk1's hehehe. Looking real good. Also the fuel kit is awesome, as are POR15 as a product in general.
Planning to go double, or quad lights?

Hi gents thanks for the kind words and advice.
Probably going to go double lights George, to me they just make the car look wider and lower.

    To all the Mk1 gurus.

    I NEED HELP !!!!

So the car went for pre- roadworthy today. And it's not looking good.
The car starts and idle . The timing has been done too I might add.
When you stand on the loud pedal it revs freely to 6000 rpm, there are no hiccups or stutters .
As soon as you stick it in first gear and try to drive there's no power, the car doesn't die or anything, there's just no power. So as soon as it's under load it looses all it power. Had the Kjet fuel pressure gauge on it, and it reads 5bar. It's got enough fuel pressure.
Has anyone come across something like this? Or heard of something like this?
Save to say it will come home on a tow truck tomorrow and I'll have to go over everything.
    Not happy.
