Hahahaha thanks fellas. add the lowkey mk6 build and a motorbike on the side... and I really keep myself a bit too preoccupied

I am really trying to get mk1/transporter/bike done before summer to enjoy them. So I am sacrificing everyday after work, in hopes to enjoy summer with the toys i guess :/

Thanks Yep should be really fun. If only there was some magic pill to give me the motivation I needed to complete it haha.

After months of non activity I've almost finished the shifter over the weekend. The cable were too long to run through the cabin, so I had to route them under the car, through the tunnel. Came out looking like this.

This is how it will roughly look.
I'll be polishing the shifter box and making it look pretty. I have collected all replacement bushes, oem and Dieselgeek ones too.
After running the rebuild kit, I'll install it and see how the gears go.

Still waiting to find another water pump housing....... need to go visit some wreckers.
Does anyone know if all 8v are the same. They look the same to me, I'm sure any 1.8 from mk1/2/3 should be just fine.
