Awesome work man !! It really turned up good. The best cars imo are those with the smallest details being done. I love it, and love the gear knob too !!

You will most likely fail not having rubber on the brake and clutch pedals - I hate to be a fun policeman - but just saying.

    Something amazing has happened today.

    It's finally registered!

After leaving the car at Rev Doctor for a few days, Scott tweaked a couple of things I couldn't be bothered with and I had enough confidence to bring it in to work today for a blue slip up the road. It passed no worries and I managed to get everything I needed together and get the car registered in my lunch break!

I'm so stoked right now. Maybe the happiest man in Australia? Hahah. Got hooked up with great prices on CTP and car insurance, picked up the new plates at the same time as registering it and loved driving it around to get things done. It's such a fun car.

As you can see it's got the new wheels on it, and the chrome bumper up front. Big improvement in my books. I'm waiting on new fasteners for the rear chrome bar as the old ones sheared in half when I tried to take them out of the bracket.

There are still some little things to do, but this massive hurdle is finally behind me. Really feeling better about it all now. Thanks for the positive words on here, guys. Helps a lot.

    Congratulations mate, car looks awesome.

Surprised rev doctor even touched it, he seemed to hate all my cars... maybe because I didnt give him any work . (I worked in that complex at Salisbury rd for a few years.....). I think the combination of diesel-ness and german-ness didnt go down overly well..... anyway...

Its a great feeling to get a car on the road, well done!

    Monumental! Great work.

I need to find new or NOS rub strips for chrome bumpers because seeing yours look so tidy makes me jealous!
