Switch to RE003 if you can. I’ve had both on my GTI and the RE003 is better and much more durable.

Keep in mind with the RE003's that they are a pretty soft compound. Great grip compared to the S001's but that comes at the cost of wear.

The S001s wore more quickly than the RE0003s on my Polo GTIs. Wife drove the 2015 GTI and I the 2013. She had the S001s.

Guess the s001 wears off faster but the trade off is better comfort and besides i dont have to dodge too many pot holes with the terrible roads in adelaide

Interesting. What was it about the RE003s that you disliked on the 6R? And how did the S001s differ? And what’s your driving style? I’d say I drive it like I stole it, pretty much.

Perhaps my wife and i just find it too firm and bumpy. With the s001 on both gti ,its comfortable drive inclined towards a softer feel similarly to continental tyres too.if i am in the racing tracks, i will share your love for the re003

I never thought of it that way. I like my tyre pressures high for better road feel. Each to his (and his wife’s) own! polo gti tyres
