    Polo GTI first yearly service

Hey, my wife has booked her polo GTI in for its first service and they are quoting 425 dollars. This sound high for the first service, what is the experience here?

If it's under the capped price scheme, then it'll be the same across all dealers.

You can double-check it on the VW website under the 'Service' menu.

Yeah that's how much they sting you. I watched the dashcam footage of my first service, they checked the lights and horn was working and changed the oil/filter... that's it... $425 worth...

Dashcam won't show them inspecting the brakes, tyres, steering, and suspension though.

They've got a 1.5hrs window to do all that in.

I copped the same also, when the lady over the phone told me the price I asked if the oil was made from gold. She didn't find it amusing so she probably hears that quite often.

Wait till you get the "capped price" for 30k. They try to slug you for pollen filter and brake fluid change as well. Going to Audvolks for my 45k service

Mine is due in the next month so thanks for that. I will definitely go somewhere else. I have not even hit 20k yet, so i could only try and imagine what they would try and slug me for the 2 years lol.

Just had mine done, $401 from the dealer, like said above this was fixed price for all the local dealers.
