    Polo and Fiscon

Hey guys I've tried to search but most people who have the fiscon kit have golfs with the full multifunction steering wheel,

I'm wondering I there's anyone else in here with the Fiscon Bluetooth kit installed in there polo who has successfully managed to get the phone button to work my dealer couldn't figure it out, if so how???

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    G'day Geoffiez89,
Just took delivery of a new Polo, fab car btw. We have the RCD510 installed and the Fiscon bluetooth all from the factory. We don't have any problems with the connection of the phones, iPhone4 and Sony Erricson. The screen works as does the buttons on the wheel.
Where are you? Call around a couple of dealers or do some research yourself, we were told that the iPhone lead would not charge it and it does. VW dealers don't seem to know everything about their product. Shame it is a good product, sometimes just a bit to German if you know what I mean.
    Hope this helps.

Our experience with the phone button on the steering wheel...it works "sometimes"...the stalk will always work, but the phone button is a 50/50 chance of picking up the call.

The manual doesn't seem to suggest that the steering wheel button is designed for use.

    Hi there

I picked up a Polo GTI the other day and have the RCD 510 stereo

I bought a Fiscon / Kufatec Bluetooth from a reseller off here
Advanced ICE Pty Ltd - FISCON Volkswagen & Skoda Basic Bluetooth Kit

It appears to be EXACTLY the same as what the dealer was selling me as the Advanced Bluetooth

I have a Blackberry 9800 and everything works. Steering wheel buttons, phone book, no echo, touch screen etc etc

This cost me $850 installed in about 3/4hr as opposed to $1,380
Granted it doesnt come with a 3 year warranty, but I can cope with that.

Anyone know the difference between the 'basic' and the 'basic plus'?

Ahh thought that may have been the case.

    Impressions? Worth it?
Can text messages be read on either the stereo display or the dash display?

The unit itself is great, text messages work on some phones (not iPhones) as mentioned at the start of the thread I still havnt been able to get the stalk and the phone button on my steering wheel to work but apart from that integration with the RCD-510 is great, Bluetooth streaming sounds ok but isn't the highest quality.
