    How to remove the rear bench seat?

    I want to know how to remove or lift up the rear bench seat?kids drop some candy inside and making rolling noise when turning.also want to put seat cover on it. Mine is gti.thanks

    It's the same. If you want to actually remove them completely. when you pop them up pull them forward and you'll see two metal bars just hooking them to the body - push on them to release them from the hooks (car's a bit far away to get photos sorry). I've taken them out and put them back in plenty of times with no problems.

    I did it today, trying to find a rattle in the back, opened up the larger of the two and found a screw just floating around, i'm now looking everywhere in the car to see if something is missing and loose.
