How to refill gearbox oil in 2012 auto Polo

Hi have accidentally drained the gearoil instead of engine oil in our daughters Polo but cannot see where to refill it. Has anyone done this themselves and can give us some advice!?

Is it a manual or Auto?

I'm guessing auto/DSG. Most need filling through the drain plug.

Google the Gearbox code from the sticker in the service book

Check bank account and weep DSG oil is NOT cheap Just to be clear which oil did you drain The DSG or the Mechatronic. Hopefully not the second.

    Hold up.

Need t know exactly which plug you drained it from.

There's two parts to the DSG in these. One is the gearbox itself, which cannot be easiy replenished with oil if you drain it. You'll most likely need to have the car towed to VW. I don't think you can buy the specific oil for it from anyone other than VW either.

The other is the diff, which can be re-filled via the breather hole, using the specific VW adaptor tool.
