You know, 90% of the car isn't bad, it's just the baby-delivery van looks that get me, otherwise I'd consider it. That and the 20kgs of ballast bolted to the rear of the car, the extra boot space over the GTI would be great (Fabia RS has the battery in the front) but an extra 20kegs of dead weight.... Though I'm carrying 20kgs of dead weight already!

All DSG Owners MUST read this. VW Apologises for DSG Problems in China, Russia and USA. Why not here?
~500,000 defective units in China alone.

What's the difference between the vRS and the RS?

I like the wagon variant but wish it came with smaller wheels

I think that 20kg ballast in the back = the battery under the boot floor in the polo. The wagon doesn't have it.

I like the estate version.....But I don't like the fact skodas have barely any options in comparison to the volkswagens...I like the touch screen 6 cd stacker and the auto windscreen wipers and all the other technology in the car.

This is a little odd that they have left stuff out. normally the skoda has more for the same price as the VW. the octavia RS is a MK5 golf front with passat rear and has a detuned GTi engine. but it has sat nav and 18" wheels as standard. only thing you have to pay for extra is leather or a sunroof an xenons. it already has parking sensors as well. the dsg wagon is the same price as a golf GTI onRoad.
The interior quality is a little down on the VW though

It doesn't look that bad on the road, I saw one driving in oposite direction (it was only Montecarlo though), when I was heading home this afternoon, it looked quite schmick.

Based on the previous Polo from what i read and still not actually here yet... plus its almost the same price as the polo and we have no idea on resale value... had it been a few thousand cheaper Id have been tempted but not at this price... If youve not driven a monte carlo, drop in and give the manual demo a boot, top fun... but not as nice inside or out as the polo imho.
